The National Health Care Institute (ZIN) published the updated ‘Guideline for conducting health economic evaluations’ in the Netherlands in January 2024. Since then, ZIN allows for Structured Expert Elicitation (SEE) in specific circumstances. For example, when it is unknown what percentage of modelled patients progresses to the next treatment line or how much informal care is required.. While the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) in England has some years of experience with using SEE in health economic evaluations, its application in the Netherlands is relatively new and experience is as yet limited.
This NVTAG symposium builds on the webinar held on this topic in June 2024 and will focus on the initial experiences with using SEE in the Netherlands. Speaker during the symposium are Amarens Geuzinge (ZIN), Hedwig Blommestein (Scientific Advisory Board (WAR)), James Horscroft (Maple Health Group LLC), and Elleke Peterse (Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine).
The main language of the symposium is English.
